OUR VISION
|
In four years (by 2013) the trustees hope to report that:
|
- Many more children from poor and one-parent families are attending school
- Education is in small classes of 25 children
- The school employs teachers passionate about working with these children
- The school is well resourced to enable poor children to receive the kind of
education currently available only to the rich
- Teaching is undertaken by trained teachers
- Unemployed young people and other members of the community are improving their
skills and education through evening classes
- The community are receiving health education training and family health is
improving
- Everyone has mosquito nets
- There is an adequate drainage scheme in the community to eliminate mosquito
breeding grounds
- There is a health clinic with trained personnel to provide first aid and advice
- There is an adequate clean water supply
- Women and young people have had the opportunity to train in business and loan
management skills, have set up their own businesses and are self sufficient
- The economy of the community is improving and there are fewer people living
below the bread-line
- The rubbish has been cleared from the waste land and the land is used for urban
horticulture and recreational purposes
- All people have the opportunity to undertake computer training
